Ways to pay
These are the types of payment PCC accepts. You must have one of these payment arrangements in place by the payment due date or your course registrations may be deleted. If you are unable to attend, it is up to you to drop the class.

Pay your bill by the payment due date. Some payment restrictions apply.
- Online in MyPCC using echeck, debit card, Visa, or MasterCard. You can also view, print, and save your billing statement on demand – see more about PCC-Pay.
- By phone with debit card, Visa, or MasterCard
- By mail. Send checks and money orders payable to Portland Community College (Note: due to remote processing, your check payment may be delayed. Consider paying online for time-sensitive payments)
- International payments must be sent through flywire.

Interest-free payment plans spread your bill into monthly or bi-weekly payments. Sign up on the Paying for College tab in MyPCC.
trophy Financial aid
Loans and grants are available to help with college costs. Check your status in the Financial Aid Dashboard in MyPCC. Review and accept your award by the payment due date.
handshake Oregon Promise
Oregon Promise provides grants for recent high school graduates and high school equivalency earners. See eligibility on the Oregon Promise portal.
star Veterans benefits
Veterans are entitled to assistance with college expenses. Funds are also available for spouses and dependents. Apply with the VA and certify your schedule with the PCC Veterans Education Benefits Office. (Tuition assistance programs such as Voc Rehab, Go Army, and MyCAA are handled through third-party billing.)

Many employers and agencies assist students with college costs. To have your bill paid by a third party, formal billing arrangements must be set up and approved before the term begins.
award Scholarship
The PCC Foundation and other donors award scholarships to PCC students. If you are a recipient, your donor will send us a check and tell us what the scholarship covers.

This program provides tuition vouchers in exchange for volunteer work. To redeem vouchers, request funds through AmeriCorps.

Some students are eligible for tuition waivers or belong to programs that will pay tuition as a benefit of participation.
piggy bank 529 savings plan
This state-sponsored savings plan helps people in Oregon save for education. To use these funds, have your 529 provider send a check to PCC.
Payment restrictions
There may be charges on your account that are not covered by some types of payment. It’s up to you to make sure your account is paid in full, even if someone else is paying your bill. A 10-day transcript hold is placed on payments received by check or e-check.
PCC does not accept the following:
- Checks drawn on bank accounts outside of the United States.
- Two-party, post-dated, and altered checks.
- Payments in excess of the student’s account balance.
- Payments by wire and ACH unless they have been pre-arranged with the accounts receivable office.
- Payments for less than the full amount due.
Returned payments
- A $15 returned item fee is assessed for any type of returned payment applied to your account, whether paid by you or another party.
- Any payment that is returned unpaid will be resubmitted within 14 days whenever possible.
