SUPPLIES LIST:

-PENCIL                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    (special drawing pencils are optional: 1. drawing pencil with HB – middle range of Hard & Black lead or 2. Drafting pencil lead size : 0.5 grade HB lead)

-ERASER                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                (optional: 1. Large block eraser AND 2. Mechanical eraser)

-PAPER                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               (sketchbook optional: Mixed media, ~30 pages, 98lbs or heavier, size by your preference)

-BLACK PIGMENT INK PEN (0.2 or 0.5 tip size)

ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES FOR A CLASS USING COLOR:

-COLORED PENCILS – set of 12 – Prismacolor colored pencils

-WATERCOLOR PENCILS  – set of 12 – Prismacolor, Faber-Castell, or Winsor & Newton

-WATERCOLORS – pocket set of 12 in a case or 10 individual tubes –

option 1 pocket set (paint and pans included) – Winsor & Newton Cotman – sketcher’s pocket set, set of 12, assorted colors, half pans

option 2 individual tubes (does not include a mixing tray or water dish): Winsor & Newton Cotman tube set – set of 10, assorted colors, 5 ml, tubes

-BRUSHES – 3-4 brushes – #2 (.47 inches – tiny),  #4 (.55″ – small) #10 (.94″ – medium) #18 (1.50″ – big & optional)

-PAPER – 12 or more sheets of 140 lbs   – Strathmore, Canson, or Arches  (size is optional, I like my sketchbooks to be portable ~8.5 X 11)

option 1 cold pressed – textured

option 2 hot pressed – smooth (I prefer smooth)

* The brands are listed to help you in the store, but any new or used brands will work great! *
*We will discuss supplies for a class using color on the first day. You don’t need to bring all the supplies on day 1. We will start with colored pencils*
