This is a two block woodcut version of the painting "Happy New Year," painted in 2000 for ArtBeat, PCC's 30-year tradition of district wide arts celebration which came to an end in 2015 during budget cuts. Each year a featured artist was asked to make a work for the college collection and invited to do an artist talk at all campuses. In addition the featured work was reproduced on posters and T shirts. The black woodcut block was reproduced on yellow T shirts with red lettering that year.
