Patrick Kelly
Patrick Kelly received an MFA from The George Washington University (Washington DC) and a BFA from East Carolina University (NC). He has shown in Portland at Worksound, Basil Howard Gallery, Half/Dozen, Autzen Gallery (PSU) and Nationale. Kelly’s work is included in collections of The Oregon Arts Commission, the Museum of Modern Art Library (NY), and Yale University’s Bieneke Rare Book and Manuscript Library (CT). He has exhibited in group shows at LxWxH and Vermillion Galleries, (Seattle, WA), Archer Gallery (Vancouver, WA), Viridian Artists Inc, (NY),and Connor Contemporary, (Washington, DC). He is the 2003 recipient of a Morris Louis Fellowship. His work has been described by critic Nina Karaicic as using “a repetitive and laborious process to create images that challenge visual perception and serve as an observable record of passing time.” Kelly is on the Art faculty of Rock Creek Campus.
