The Multicultural Services Office / Multicultural Centers were founded to address institutional racism and the unique needs of students of color at PCC. The Multicultural Centers support the academic achievement, leadership development, and advancement of students of color at PCC. The Multicultural Centers are centrally-located to provide a safe space that nurtures learning and the achievement of personal and educational goals through cultural enrichment, peer tutoring, mentoring, and leadership activities on campus.

Portland Community College’s Multicultural Centers are recruiting students for the 2025-2026 Equity Diversity Coordinator (EDC) Program, a year-long paid leadership initiative for diverse students of color. The program focuses on developing academic, leadership, and social change skills through a rigorous academic component and hands-on experience within the Multicultural Center, aiming to foster a more inclusive campus and promote education equity.
