The Queer Resource Centers support queer, trans, and gender expansive students through one-on-one advocacy, resources & referrals, events & programming, leadership opportunities, and community building. We advocate for an inclusive and intersectional campus climate that promotes gender justice, sexual liberation, and equity for all people. Our centers offer a safer space where all students are welcome to hang out, be themselves, explore identity, and get support when they need it.
Available Positions:
QRC Student Advocate
The Student Advocate staffs the Queer Resource Center including: sharing information, making effective referrals of all kinds, providing peer support for problem-solving and self-advocacy, providing peer support and advocacy for students affected by intimate partner and gender-based violence, developing and implementing educational programs, organizing events, providing outreach to the campus community about QRC programs and services, and creating a force on campus to dismantle heterosexism, cissexism, racism, classism, sexism, and all forms of oppression.
