Course Description

Presents an overview of nicotine addiction and specific evidence-based practices that have been demonstrated to contribute to successful nicotine cessation efforts. Taught completely in Spanish. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Identify the impact of one’s value system towards nicotine use.
  2. Summarize key concepts in the treatment of tobacco and nicotine use.
  3. Articulate practices that foster connection with others that use nicotine.
  4. Provide referrals for nicotine reduction and cessation.
