Course Description
Covers risk assessment, risk reduction, and treatment methods in addiction counseling. Includes required documentation and reporting practices. Taught completely in Spanish. Audit available.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students should be able to:
- Communicate in a non-judgmental and trauma-informed way around risk factors.
- Implement risk assessments.
- Document referral process.
- Describe protocols and procedures around confidentiality and mandated reporting.
- Identify signs and symptoms of imminent risk.
