Course Description
Course covers an Ayurveda Overview including history, energetics, and constitution; Ayurvedic Dietary Principles of taste, energetic and healing qualities of foods and individualized diet; food preparation and cooking techniques, Ayurvedic Herbs; pathologies and specific nutritional disease treatments.
Intended Outcomes for the course
- Evaluate up to 10 Ayurvedic core nutritional concepts and up to 30 common Ayurvedic clinical symptoms for client diet/deficiency conditions
- Recall, explain and integrate nomenclature, methodology and procedures of Ayurveda in diet planning, compliance and efficacy
- Interpret client pathology, acute and chronic conditions, and impaired metabolism toward health maintenance recommendations
