Course Description
This course provides tips for fostering the reading, writing, and math skills of students with special needs and techniques for helping these learners behave appropriately and make friends in your classroom.
Intended Outcomes for the course
- Gain the knowledge you need to understand and cope with the most common disabilities you will encounter
- Learn how common disabilities affect classroom behavior and learning
- Learn three essential tools for handling behavior problems: behavior contracts, functional behavioral assessments, and behavior intervention plans
