Course Description

Provides opportunities to discuss and debrief about the practical experiences encountered in Dental Hygiene Practice III, designed to enhance awareness and delivery of patient-centered care by linking knowledge, skill, and critical thinking.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Apply patient-centered care principles.

  2. Integrate knowledge, skills, and critical thinking for delivery of comprehensive patient care.

  3. Review and self- assess patient care experiences over the course of the first year of clinical practice.
