Course Description

Provides opportunities to discuss and debrief practical experiences encountered in Dental Hygiene Practice V. Enhances awareness and delivery of patient-centered care by linking knowledge, skill, and critical thinking.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Apply patient-centered care principles with all classifications of patients.

  2. Integrate knowledge, skills, and critical thinking for delivery of comprehensive patient care.

  3. Integrate knowledge from Periodontology and Pain Management courses into clinical discussions.

  4. Review and self-assess on patient care experiences for continual improvement in delivering clinical care.
