Course Description
Introduces programming for electronics applications with emphasis on instrumentation control, robotics and automation. Includes writing programs, as well as troubleshooting and modifying existing code in assembly, C and/or specialized high-level computer languages, such as LabVIEW. Audit available.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion students should be able to:
- Select the appropriate programming language for the specific hardware application.
- Write, test and debug programs to control electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and modify existing electrical control programs.
Outcome Assessment Strategies
Assessment methods are to be determined by the instructor. Typically, in-class quizzes, online quizzes, exams and weekly homework assignments will be used. Laboratory assessment will be by program demonstration, code review, reports, and/or practical skills testing.
