Course Description
Addendum to Course Description
This is the first in a series of courses in applications of electricity, circuits, meters, switches and breakers, motors and their schematic
drawings relating to the HVAC industry in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Intended Outcomes for the course
"Calculate voltage, resistance and current using Ohmês laws.
" Explain the characteristics of series and parallel circuits.
" Describe the operation of Digital and Analog meters.
" Identify electrical symbols used in the HVAC industry.
" Explain the difference between AC and DC currents.
" Size conductors for an HVAC installation.
Course Activities and Design
In-class activities are made up of lecture, demonstrations, hands-on activities and discussions. See instructor syllabus for details.
