Intended Outcomes for the course

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  1. Apply general principles of management (planning, organizing, controlling, decision making, and leading) and supervision to a health information management department.

  2. Apply general principles of human resources management including interviewing, training, performance evaluations, job analysis, disciplining, and basic supervision to a health information management department.

Students will demonstrate these learning outcomes by these tasks conducted individually and in cooperation with other students:

  1. Answer theoretical and application questions on information covered in the lecture, graded assignments and reading assignments.
