Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students should be able to:
- Read and identify some basic information from words, phrases and simple sentences that are written in Japanese.
- Write a mixture of words, phrases and simple sentences about familiar and everyday topics.
- Speak about familiar and everyday topics using a mixture of practiced or memorized words, phrases and simple sentences.
- Listen and identify some basic facts from memorized or familiar words and phrases in spoken Japanese.
- Describe some Japanese cultural products and practices related to everyday life.

Students will be assessed by any combination of the following:
