Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students will be able to:

Design, create, and integrate audio, visual, and interactive elements into a comprehensive immersive experience.

Develop content for successful delivery across multiple platforms, including PC, mobile devices and head-mounted displays.

Evaluate current trends of AR and VR media delivery to propose options to potential clients, and discuss the benefits, challenges and misconceptions involved with working in AR and VR.

Evaluate various interaction schemes common to AR/VR experiences.

Use immersive effects of visual and audio assets to AR/VR experiences and evaluate implementation methods.
Course Activities and Design
Course material will be presented in a lecture format. This course is designed to maximize learning through the use of strategies such as outcome based instruction", collaborative learning, contextual application and performance based assessment. Lecture material will consist of discussion, diagrams, multimedia, and other educationally sound practices. Other activities will include hands-on development of a internet web page. Demonstration and handout materials will be provided.
Outcome Assessment Strategies
Projects will be the major criteria for evaluation. Emphasis will be placed on effective use of software to create and deploy projects using assigned techniques. Assessment will also take presentation, ability to meet deadlines, and participate in critical analysis. Additional methods of assessment may include quizzes, exercises, assignments, and attendance.
