Course Description

Designed to permit a student in concert with an organization to combine new on-the-job supervisory work experience with concepts and skills learned in supervisory classes and in the process become a greater asset to the organization. Department permission required. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

  • Be able to write a workable plan of action for a work place project
  • Design and complete a work related project

Outcome Assessment Strategies

  • Ultimate assessment of the project or learning experience is the responsibility of the employer.
  • Assessment by the instructor entails an on-sight visit and review of the project as well as an interview with the employer. In the accompanying class, MSD 280B, students will:
  • Develop a written plan for the project
  • Present the plan to the class
  • Write a paper describing the plan and its outcome
  • Present the paper to the class
