Course Description

Introduces principles and frameworks for production of enclosures for custom MIDI controllers and interfaces. Explores design of objects that provide a desirable user experience and resonate with history and culture. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Define and implement foundational, contemporary, conventional, and experimental principles of design, producing a physical object.
  2. Identify examples of effective design from various periods of history.
