Course Description

Course familiarizes students with the terminology, equipment and basics used in the recording industry. Prepares students for the technical requirements of the Recording Technologies courses. Audit available.

Addendum to Course Description

Intro To Recording Technologies will give students who have talent, but have not had exposure to the recording environment, advanced training in class / lab expectations, equipment and terms used.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Prepares student for MUS 223. Students will be familiar with basic concepts, equipment, and terminology.

Outcome Assessment Strategies

Students will demonstrate their understanding of the basic theory of recording, terminology and equipment by successfully completing a final written exam.
