Course Description

Expands knowledge, application and skills in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). Continues covering fundamentals and techniques explored in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu I. Recommended: PE 162J or instructor approval. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  1.  Improve overall physical conditioning through continued participation in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), including but not limited to, improvements in cardio-respiratory fitness, muscle fitness, and flexibility.
  2.  Perform safe and effective BJJ self defense skills and movements.
  3.  Continue to apply learned skills, techniques, and knowledge in belt rank advancement tests.
  4.  Apply acquired BJJ skills, techniques and knowledge in self defense situations.
  5.  Develop a lifelong fitness, health, and wellness program that incorporate BJJ skills and techniques.
