Course Description

Focuses on cardio-respiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance. Includes interval training, dynamic stretching, strength trainings, high intensity fitness training, muscle confusion training, endurance training and plyometrics. Audit available.

Addendum to Course Description

Class format includes warm-up, cardiovascular and strength exercises, flexibility and cool-down.  Nutrition information may be discussed.  Each student supplies his/her own clothing that is nonrestrictive and comfortable for exercise and is designed for cross training and/or aerobic/anaerobic training.  Athletic shoes are required.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of this course the students should be able to:

  • Continue to improve physical conditioning which includes strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, agility, balance and endurance.
  • Further develop the skills needed for maintaining lifelong health and fitness
  • Apply the principles, language and techniques used in class to their own workouts
