Course Description

Introduces the fundamentals of pickleball and badminton. Racquet grip, hitting strokes, court position, strategy and rules of the games will be taught. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Course Activities and Design

Uses discussion/demonstration with individuals and groups. Emphasizes rules, serves, strategy, and court play. 
 

Outcome Assessment Strategies

The grade will be determined basically the same way for each
level:
     A.   Attendance/Participation
     B.   Improvement, game play -- subjective
     C.   Written quiz
Specific grading policies will be discussed at the first class
meeting and presented in a handout.

Instructional Goal:
     A.   To introduce students to rules, regulations/procedures
          and background of the sport.
     B.   To develop knowledge and skills necessary for warming
          up and cooling down.
     C.   To learn skill of offensive and defensive play in each
          sport.
