Course Description

Develops Hip Hop dance skills at an advanced level with a focus on challenging choreography and performance. Emphasizes the development of correct technique and the strength needed to perform more advanced moves. Hip Hop I and Hip Hop II or previous experience highly recommended. Audit available.

Students will provide their own workout attire 

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of this course students should be able to:

  • Describe Hip Hop history and how Hip Hop continues to shape world culture.
  • Execute challenging and original freestyle dance using prior knowledge of Hip Hop.
  • Continue to develop peer leadership skills through group choreography.
  • Develop skills needed to plan shows and performances.
