Course Description
This 8-hour module covers Legal Aspects of Care and Documentation and aspects of respiratory patient assessment and care. Includes ABGs, ventilator support modes and therapies.
Intended Outcomes for the course
At the end of this Module, participants will be able to: 1) perform a baseline respiratory status exam and history, 2) recognize a patient with a respiratory emergency, 3) diagnose the probable cause of the condition using critical thinking, and 4) develop a nursing care approach to the patient's condition, 5) recognize the nurse's medical care responsibilities and liabilities, 6) provide complete and effective patient care documentation.
