Course Description

This workshop will cover the following: The role and skills of a minute taker. Minute styles formal, informal, and action. What to record. Techniques for preparing minutes, meeting arrangements, and the actual minute book.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Recognize the importance of minute-taking.  Develop key minute-taking skills, i.e.  listening, critical thinking, and organizational skills.  Resolve many of the complaints that affect minute-takers.  Write minutes that are suitable for formal meetings, semiformal meetings, and action minutes.  Be an efficient minute-taker in any type of meeting.
Be able to prepare and maintain a minute book
