Course Description
Learn the foundational terms, concepts, and elements of designing and implementing clinical research. Includes the ethical, regulatory, historical and operational, recruitment, reporting, and other principles that support successful clinical trials.
Intended Outcomes for the course
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of clinical research/trial methodologies described in study protocol, including study design, operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Learn about life cycle of clinical research and apply case studies to the preparation and execution of clinical trials and investigations via site evaluation and initiation in accordance with Good Clinical Practices and procedures.
- Articulate the ethics involved in clinical trials, including the protection of human subjects and data integrity.
- Apply critical thinking when planning a research study or related operational endeavor.
- Communicate and interact effectively in a professional clinical research environment
