A little about me
Hi! I’m Lindsey. I’m the afternoon Kitchen Aide at the CDC. I worked here for a year and a half before the pandemic closed the school for 2 years. It is so nice to finally be back.
I received my Culinary Assistant Certificate from PCC in December of 2018. While I was in the Culinary Assistant Program, I spent the last 3 months of my internship at the CDC. I liked working with everyone so much that I applied to work here and was hired after I finished my program.
I was born in Honolulu. Swimming was one of my favorite activities from the time I was a toddler. I moved to Chicago when I was 11 years old and after I graduated from high school I went to school on Cape Cod, Massachusetts for 3 years. In high school and at Cape Cod Community College I studied Early Childhood Education. I then returned to Chicago and attended the PACE Program at National Louis University. My first internship in the PACE Program was in a preschool. Then I worked at several hospitals, at a pet shop, and at a doggy day care.
I moved to Portland four and a half years ago with my mom. We wanted to move here because my two older sisters had settled here. We had visited Portland a number of times and loved it. In my spare time I like to walk around my neighborhood in northeast Portland, checking out all the coffee shops, restaurants, and the Free Little Book Libraries. I love to watch lots of different kinds of movies including the Hallmark Channel movies. I also read a lot and I enjoy spending time with my sisters.
