Day at the Capitol

Day at the Capitol banner

Join us for PCC’s 2025 Day at the Capitol advocacy event! Together we’ll travel to Salem to meet face-to-face with legislators and tell them why investments in education, workforce training, and student support are critical to our community. Share your personal story of how Portland Community College has made a difference in your life and make your voice heard.

Your advocacy is critical as we urge the state to invest in PCC students. As the largest institution of higher education in the state, PCC helps create opportunities for over 53,000 students each year – many of whom are the first in their families to attend college.

What is Day at the Capitol and why does it matter?

Oregon State legislators meet with groups every day requesting support. It’s important that we meet with and educate legislators to ask them to fight hard for investments in community colleges. Increased funding means students will continue to have access to high-quality education and the support services they need to succeed. Be an advocate for PCC and help us urge legislators to invest in PCC students.
