Dale & Kerri Pellow
Soon after I stepped onto the Rock Creek campus in 2003, I knew PCC was a special place. My job may have been to oversee the construction of buildings at PCC, but my passion quickly became supporting the students who would be transforming their lives within those buildings. I quickly built relationships and understood the reason for the mission at PCC – to provide an accessible and high-quality education and to champion the success of all students in our community.
I eventually joined what was called the “President’s Posse” and learned first-hand the value of connecting high school students with college through Future Connect. Programs like this inspired me to get more involved and serve on the Foundation Board. For my wife, Kerri, and I, it’s simple – such a small amount of money has a huge impact on people’s lives. We have the opportunity firsthand to see the impact of funding and awarding scholarships to those in need.
When we learned about Champions for Opportunity, we decided it was time to do more to support students beyond scholarships. We’ve all been helped by someone at one point or another, and we think it’s important to invest in students during their times of adversity so they can continue their education and go on to accomplish their academic and professional goals.
