This 3D design was a class project in which I explored working with found materials to create a planar mask. The shape of the mask was created by measuring the planes of my face and creating a cardboard foundation. Pebbles from my yard were used to cover the front of the mask and represent the weight felt from Covid-19. Live flowers were attached using a 24 gauge wire and represent the opportunity for growth through adversity. This wearable sculpture is intended to portray the mixed emotions that many, including myself, have faced throughout the uncertainty of the pandemic.
