Jo Farley | “On My Toes”

We were assigned to draw at least eight iterations of one of our shoes in a composition that represents our personality in some way. The shoe I drew, I wear every single time I go out. The high top design is very stabilizing, even when I may not feel completely stable in my life--I sometimes feel like I'm balancing on my toes while holding a lot of things in my arms. I aim to represent this feeling in my drawing.
