In this project, I worked to improve my skills with using multiple types of drawing materials at once. I chose chalk pastels and ink so that I could create the contrast of giving a loose, abstract, and colorful appearance to the sky with the pastels while giving the rest of the drawing a more earthy and defined look with the inks. I worked to make the sky the main focus of the drawing while still having the perspective of the various pieces of the drawing ultimately lead the viewer's eye to the farmhouse, so as to give a sensation of finally arriving home at the end of a long day.
