Kay Li Spencer | “Fruit n’ Fabric”

This artwork was for an assignment about drawing fabric; lighting was especially important. Fabric and texture are really hard to capture in drawing. For that reason, I chose to use a patterned blanket to not only try to challenge myself, but also to make it recognizable as a piece of fabric. I was limited to graphite pencils and grayscale so I wanted to make everything look as life like as I could without relying on too much on color.
