Sam asked students of 231 to make one half page drawing as homework for the first week of class. I had been meaning to do a study of The American Swallow since finishing project 2 of last semester wherein I needed to fill some negative space to give the viewer the understanding that the negative space was deliberate, it was a bustling marketplace scene with multiple races, species, and types of things running about, I thought since a swallow's nest can be created on the side of any surface it would be perfect for the wall of one of the "invisible" negative space buildings. The nest would be housing a Aetheliomancer (tiny bird prince wizard) adding more tiny detail for the viewer to feast their eyes on. (Maybe Aethermancer? - CW)
