This painting portrays an experience of confinement. I focused on using vivid colors in a representative way. The cool and warm colors are displayed in duality within the scene. The intention was to convey the theme in a simple composition with a dramatic use of light that gives dimension to the figures. Staying at home during a global pandemic is represented in the dullness of time and the simultaneous chaotic state of the world, both experienced by the anonymous blue human figure. In addition, the composition alludes to the descent to the underworld.
