This piece was created as part of a project to practice painting depth of field and subdued tones. One of the criteria was to paint anything we saw, considering I painted this mid pandemic it was nice to go out and make a little trip out of it. The tree in my painting is located next to an old primary school in my hometown. Going back to visit after so many years was very nostalgic; I have so many wonderful memories there. While the original flowers were not lilac, I added my own personal touch because it is my favorite color. I used acrylic paint on a canvas panel.
