Joseph DeSilva | “Little Red Riding Hood”

This piece was a class project in which we were to choose a fable to be portrayed in a painting. I created this imagery so as to empower Little Red Riding Hood over the Wolf. As you can see, she is far from defenseless and is in control here and not the victim portrayed in the original fable. I like to use a variety of materials/media to create my pieces. I will always draw my images using graphite before painting them using a mix of ink & watercolor, and occasionally acrylic.
