Study in contrasts and use of “mosaic” style of painting (term used by teacher). Print out of a photo from my grandmother’s house in Columbia City. Used acrylic paints on Bristol paper. Much of the art work done during this year was done in the confines of my room or my parent’s room because of COVID-19. Pieces were smaller and the subject matter was of views from windows, subjects inside of rooms, or pictures from places we couldn’t travel to or visit. Painting was a way to look at life during this strange time.
