" This is a photo of my mom that I recently took for a project in my photography class labeled “Beauty”. After experiencing loss, I was able to find beauty in all that is around me. Seems odd, unless it’s identifiable – in my experience. I was often looking in all the wrong places, if I was truly searching at all. Through similar experiences of loss, be it on the physical plane or within our own inner world, my mom and I have made beautiful strides in our relationship. This photo reminds me of the beauty that is all around us, if only we choose to see. "
