In this piece, I explored creating a multicolored print using a single linoleum block. Carving away more of the block with every layer of color, I built more of the image. I created the portrait off of another piece I created in a different class, simplifying the shadows and contours of the face. This piece took a lot of preplanning as I had to make sure the colors used would layer properly and that the layers would align with each new color placed.
