Pi’ilani Yamanoha | “Artificial”

This piece is my first print that I did for a class assignment. I explored the ideas of texture and how material can affect the print. I used an X-ACTO knife to cut cardboard and arranged it on an old piece of wood, making organic and artificial shapes within the composition. The idea of having foreign objects in an organic place started the conversation that something just doesn't seem right in the image and there must be more to what is going on.
