I celebrated the natural elements with the making of this vase. Earth, water, air and fire were all used. Earth and water for the raw clay form. Air and fire for the surface finish. With the wood firing surface in mind I formed the vase to lay on its side for the best possible fire and ash deposits to create a textured and glassy finish. I love the elements of the earth. Beauty and destruction that cannot be harnessed by humans.
