Priscilla Daniels-Mark | “Carr fire tree”

In this piece I used watercolor paints, pen and ink markers. During a visit to California I photographed this tree and the landscape around it on a trail around a significant area in which the Carr fire was. I was inspired to find beauty and new growth in that landscape. I wanted to paint the photo that I took of this tree by the river. I thought it was very representational about the message of resilience in nature as well as all life.
