This artwork was for a self-portrait assignment. However I was feeling nostalgic, and felt I should create an abstract representation of my past self, a child. From first glance the picture is simple, yet it is intentional. Just as we see any small child, innocent, naïve and lack understanding. Yet a child is the source code for everything we could be, to you and I, it is just a small toy, but through the eyes of a child. A whole world is being created and explored simultaneously, as they play with whatever 'toy' is within their grasp. Unlike the adult mind a child's mind has no limitless to the possibilities of what could be, rather than what is.
