There is a view across the street of a corner and a bit of a crosswalk with the sidewalk hidden by a thick mass of blue iris and yellow-orange poppies; above them the plum trees have already dropped their blossoms and have green-bronze leaves moving in the breeze.

The view from my front porch in May reminds me of paintings of Monet's garden at Giverny.
