Juror’s choices
I have a lot of hope for humanity when I look at this work in the student exhibition. It is all so positive and hopeful – the messages to me from what you all create. I wish I was able to see it in the Gallery. In a time of a pandemic, as we advance now, especially culturally, we need more creative thought like this that is beyond the verbal. – Ted Smith

Camden Benesh, Akira, Kaneda Bike Zoom By, 2020, computer-drawn with mouse using a free online program, 3 seconds –I love Akira and the bikes in the movie/books look so cool, I just wanted to try to animate it.

David Mijango, The Queen of Ice, 2020, digital video camera, after effects, premier — MM267 Introduction to green screen. On this project I decided to use the skills I learned from my instructor John Bills. I produced and I edited a video of my daughter using the green screen, It was a fun project from the beginning to the end. This design came from my daughter’s love of the Disney movie, Frozen. My daughter is strong, smart and independent but at the same time is very emotional and sensitive. I tried to capture all her personality in this design. My daughter loved it.

James Rowat, A Day in Quarantine, 2020, camera, tripod, Premiere Pro, 2:02 – I made this video in my Video Production 1 class of “A Day in Quarantine,” a short fun video I directed, filmed, and edited starring my Grandmother.
