I painted this for my class because the theme was Folklore. I am a big fan of Folklore, fairy-tales, Mythologies and interesting stories in general. I especially love Greek and Japanese Mythologies, and I had just heard a couple of different versions of Hades and Persephone's story and thought it would be fun to paint out. I researched what Hades might have looking like according to the myths, I found many different answers as to how he might have looked. I decided to design Hades my own style. I used Mixed media meaning, Acrylic Paint, Metallic Acrylic paint, water, gel pens and stickers for the leaves and flower in Persephone's hair.
