This painting is a class project in which I explored using two different types of painting techniques using a palate knife and brushes in the same painting. The background was created using a palate knife and heavy body gel medium mixed with acrylic paint to create depth and texture. The lantern and boat were created using acrylic paints. The images relate to my personal journey of a lifetime of storms and the light inside myself that endures.
