I explored how much dichotomy I could show in a mono-colored linocut. With implied movement in the trees in the background and the water in the mid ground. And the stillness of the center figure, and the plants in the foreground. I started by sketching my design on my linoleum block to outline where I was going to crave and to get the implied movement of a drawing, in order to try to achieve that same movement in my prints.
